This is the alley directly behind our house, facing southeast towards the top of the crescent. Once again I felt pretty spoiled with being able to do a painting so close to home–I even got out a nicer patio chair and cushion to use, and a side table for my paints. And I had a travel mug of coffee. It was a great day painting… aside from the dog who barked at me almost the entire time. He was right behind the gate with a red and black “Beware of Dog” sign on it on the right side of my painting. Though when his owners got home “Henry” got into a lot of trouble for something he did in his yard. There was a lot of, ‘Henry, WHY would you do that?!’ My guess is that Henry was super stressed about the person who was sitting in his alley all day long.
