Just delivered these 4 paintings which have been accepted into the juried plein air art show at @leightonartcentre! The show is called In The Open Air and it is running from Sept.12th through Oct. 31st. It's also a beautiful time of year to visit the centre! #yycart #yycartist #pleinairpainting #landscapepainting #artshow

Two plein air painting days from the last 2 weeks. The first photo was an afternoon painting day and the second and third photos were of a dusk painting day--an in progress shot of the light I was trying to capture, and then a finished shot although the light was gone by the time I had finished. #yycart #yycartist #pleinairpainting #landscapepainting #acrylicpainting #yyclcl

We took a little day trip on Wednesday through southern Alberta. I did these two little paintings on the way back, just west of Pincher Creek. The purple mountain one was the second painting--facing south around 8 pm. The other one was facing north around 6 pm.
